NFZ (the National Health Fund in Poland) is the institution responsible for public medical services in Poland and for managing public funds for healthcare.

What was the business need?
The client needed to replace an existing dictionary management system established 20 years ago. This was not a simple task of redeveloping or refreshing the code. The client outlined specific needs.
- The new system had to allow efficient management of all dictionaries in the database.
- The NFZ employee had to be able to create new dictionaries in the system on their own, without interference from the software provider.
- The new system had to support the maintenance of existing dictionaries and the entry of new data.
What was the challenge?
- After 20 years of use, the client had an enormous database – our job was to maintain it and bring all the data into the new system.
- Mastering the Jira add-on – Xray. It’s a tool for testers, where we collect scenarios, handle test cases, and create test reports.
- Creating an extensive system with the possibility of dynamic and flexible editing and creation of new content by multiple users at once.
- Producing a responsive and transparent visual layer of the application to display a huge amount of data in a single view.
What was the solution?
Hundreds of hours of meetings, mostly online, allowed us to clarify business requirements and develop a coherent vision for the project.
We proposed and presented the client with a solution based on a web application, which was much more innovative and intuitive for users.
The data in the dictionaries changes very dynamically. The DC system allows for a smooth flow of information between users so that changes can be seen in real-time.
Functionalities of the Dictionary Center system:
- publishing, editing, and handling the life cycle of dictionaries,
- synchronization of data between dictionaries,
- creation and handling of requests for each dictionary,
- management of workflows within the system,
- dynamic management of presented data in tables.
