PES SI Broker – Public Employment Service Information System

The PES SI BROKER acts as a communication layer for data exchange between various PES domain systems, such as service delivery and message transmission, as well as between external systems. In addition, it serves as a business logic layer for operations performed jointly by multiple PES domain systems and external systems.

What was the business need?

  1. Maintenance of the communication layer
  2. Subsequent integrations
  3. Adding more institutions that use the system
  4. Adding more services

What was the challenge?

We did not develop the system from scratch. As SOFTIQ, we were in charge of maintaining and supporting the software we had previously developed. The biggest challenge was to significantly increase the use of the services and significantly increase the traffic in the system.

What was the solution?

The Broker, which corresponds to the CSIZS, acts as a communication layer, enabling the exchange of data between PES domain systems, such as the Register of Nurseries, the Labor Office, and systems that handle COVID shields for entrepreneurs. The software is used by some 340 district labor offices. Also connected to the Broker are other central systems of the Ministry, such as the foreigner employment system developed by us, as well as data collection systems such as the portal for entrepreneurs, the a central database of job offers, and our own systems, such as WORTAL PSZ, INTRANET PSZ, SDZ.

In addition, the Broker integrates with external systems such as KRS, CEIDG, STATE REGISTER SYSTEM, EMP@TIA or ZUS, from which field systems retrieve and verify data used as a basis for further decision-making.

As part of the Monitoring of Work and Residence of Foreigners in the Territory of the Republic of Poland (MPPC) project, all integrations of institutions took place through the Broker. The project linked institutions such as the Border Guard, the Office for Foreigners, the State Labor Inspectorate, and the Social Security Administration. Although consulates have their own software, they can use the data integrated into the systems to serve foreigners and customers. Our system makes available the services used by the mentioned institutions.

The broker’s communication scope includes both PES domain systems and external systems, ensuring a smooth flow of data and integration between different institutions and systems.

Project process:

  1. PHASE I – Analysis
  2. PHASE II – Design
  3. PHASE III – Implementation
  4. PHASE IV – Testing

What did the client get?

  • Making integration services available
  • Growing popularity of electronic system integration services
  • Eliminating paper documents, reducing the traditional process of information exchange
