The Ministry of Family and Social Policy manages matters related to labour and social laws of Poland.
What was the business need?
The existing Polish ministries platform integrates the Ministries’ various systems responsible for submitting client applications and benefits.
If there is a need for some systems to transfer information between themselves, correspond with each other or provide information about the status of an application, CSIZS makes it possible.
As a result, we had to prepare for multiple data sets and many incoming applications.
To begin with there was the 500+ social benefit programmes, then the 300+, subsidies for children in nurseries, and numerous applications for social assistance.

The proposed solution helped the following:
- Several integrations with state registers (register of debtors, students, deaths, PESEL)
- Integrations with key systems
- Integrations with application systems (e.g. Customers Bank)
What was the challenge?
This was one of our first projects, which served as a springboard for future ones! Our team consisted of only a few people, and after a couple of months of maintenance, the Polish government launched the 500+ project. This was a large vote-winning policy of the Polish Government, so the system needed to be robust, stabilized and improved to withstand the volume of applications coming in.
From the start of the 500+ program until January 2022, about PLN 178 billion has gone to families, and about 6.5 million children are benefiting from the initiative.
The system was prepared in a very intense environment, owing to its importance to the Polish population. The project involved great responsibility, as the government wanted to show that applications could be submitted online. The government guaranteed that any decision would be issued within 30 days, so everything had to be thoroughly tested.
How did we do it?
As SOFTIQ, we formed special-task force teams from different disciplines. Our programmers responded dynamically to errors and bugs. We set up a “war room” in Warsaw, where we focused 100% on the project, knowing that we would have to step in if something was incorrect. We provided the Polish government peace of mind, knowing we were completely focused on the safe delivery of this project.
