Large Family Card

An application for entering, verifying applications, and issuing decisions on granting the Large Family Card. In this project, we also created an application for registering, managing, and publishing KDR partners’ initiatives, i.e., companies that provide services and offer discounts (benefits) to clients with LFC.

What was the business need?

The client needed an application for citizens to submit and verify applications, and issue decisions on granting the Large Family Card. There was also a need for an application for registration, management, and publication (e.g. on a map on the website) of LFC partners, i.e. businesses providing services and offering discounts (benefits) to customers who have the LFC.

What was the challenge?

The biggest challenge was to adapt the application to the LFC Law (Journal of Laws 2014, item 1863) and to prepare the system to work during peak periods.

What was the solution?

The application is designed for two types of users: people who meet the conditions for granting the card and potential partners of the LFC program.

The system consists of several modules.

  1. Card Service Module – Handling applications for the Large Family Card, issuing decisions, and then the cards themselves.
  2. Partner Support Module – Registration of companies that pledge to offer benefits (e.g., discounts) to customers with KDR.
  3. Report Module – Create reports from the modules: Card Service and Partner Support.
  4. Administration Module – Management of units and users (roles, permissions)

Our project process & workflow

We took over the project under a new contract after 4 years of another company setting up the system. The implementation included 4 phases:

  • Phase I – Analysis
  • Phase II – Project
  • Phase III – Implementation
  • Phase IV – Tests

What did the client get?

  • Ability to create e-cards that are accessible online
  • Ability to handle applications submitted online
  • Emergency assistance and support
  • Efficient system prepared to work during peak periods
